Khamzat Chimaev dropped out of the UFC’s top ten middleweights rankings

Popular Chechen fighter Khamzat Chimaev has lost his place in the UFC’s top ten middleweights, moving from ninth to eleventh in the division’s official rankings.

His place was taken by Georgian fighter Roman Dolidze, who ten days ago lost by majority decision to France’s Nassurdin Imavov, while Sweden’s Jack Hermansson, who defeated American Joe Pifer by unanimous decision last weekend, moved up to number ten.

Also middleweights Caio Borrallo and Anthony Hernandez, who were on the fourteenth and fifteenth places, respectively, changed places.

The updated ranking is published on the official website of the organization.

On the eve there was information that Khamzat Chimaev may headline UFC 300 in Las Vegas on April 13 and meet the current UFC welterweight champion Leon Edwards, however, the Chechen fighter said that he is not going to participate in the anniversary tournament and fight in Ramadan.

Undefeated Khamzat Chimayev last fought last October at UFC 294 in Abu Dhabi, defeating Kamaru Usman by majority decision in the middleweight division.
