Former UFC lightweight champion Russian Khabib Nurmagomedov believes that the Golden Ball should have gone to Robert Lewandowski or Karim Benzema.
“I think I would give [«Золотой мяч»] Lewandowski or Benzema. Lewandowski, I think in the last three years he has been the best in football. Look what he did: won the Champions League, scored 120 goals or more in two years. This year he has 65 goals. I don’t remember such achievements at all, ”Nurmagomedov said at a press conference on December 13 in Moscow.
Lewandowski is a striker for Bayern Munich and Benzema is a striker for Real Madrid. PSG striker Lionel Messi has won the Ballon d’Or for the seventh time in his career.
