Makhachev and Khabib congratulated Oliveira on his victory over Poirier
Russian fighter Islam Makhachev in his Twitter congratulated Charles Oliveira on his victory in the duel with Dustin Poirier andand UFC 269.
“Congratulations, Charles. Just stay there for me,” Makhachev wrote.
Ex-champion Khabib Nurmagomedov also joined the congratulations.
“Congratulations, champ. You deserve it,” Khabib responded.
Oliveira defeated Poirier via rear naked choke at UFC 269 in Las Vegas. The Brazilian made his first successful lightweight title defense.
