On December 10-11, Zvezdny Sports and Sports Complex in Saratov hosts an MMA tournament among men in memory of Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov. This year, not only amateurs, but also professional mixed martial arts fighters could enter the memorial tournament in memory of Khabib Nurmagomedov’s father.
“The tournament is a real decoration of the calendar plan of the MMA Union of Russia. It has the status of a master tournament. And today we discussed how important it is for him to receive class A status. And it is important that it become international in the future. If we can implement this, the status of the tournament will grow. This year there were about 250 applications for the tournament, but not everyone was able to come. To date, 150 people are participating in 10 weight categories, ”said Radmir Gabdullin, president of the MMA Union of Russia, at a press conference dedicated to the organization and holding of the All-Russian competition in mixed martial arts (MMA) in memory of Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov.
President of the MMA Federation of the Saratov region Datsi Datsiev, in turn, spoke about the prize fund for each weight category.
“Last year, Khabib supported us, as well as this year, for which many thanks to him. This year we have a fee in each weight category of 50 thousand rubles. Thanks to our sponsor Dmitry Zibrov in the Khabib weight class, in the 70.3 category, the prize money is 150 thousand rubles. Plus, Khabib expressed a desire to make a fee to the best fighter of the tournament – 100 thousand rubles, regardless of the weight category, ”Datsiev said.
