Khabib Nurmagomedov reacted categorically to the UFC’s offer

Former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov confirmed the information that the world’s strongest league offered him to head the UFC 300 anniversary tournament, which will be held on April 13 in Las Vegas.

“I know they contacted my manager Ali, but I warned him a year ago – it doesn’t matter what the offer is, don’t call me about fights,” the undefeated Russian told MMAJunkie. “Nobody contacted me specifically, but I know that people from the UFC talked to Ali about it. As I’ve said many times to people who tried to get me back – I made my decision in October 2020, it was my last fight, and I will never change it”

Two months earlier, Khabib Nurmagomedov had to personally deny information that he was preparing for the UFC 300 tournament, in which he would allegedly challenge current UFC welterweight champion Leon Edwards.

Recall that the Russian fighter announced the end of his professional career after a unification bout with American Justin Gaethje, whom he finished with a triangle choke in the second round at UFC 254 in Abu Dhabi.
