Former UFC lightweight champion, Khabib Nurmagomedov, is not sure that Zabit Magomedsharipov has finally completed his professional career, and is ready to personally contribute to the return of his compatriot to the octagon.
“We are good friends with Zabit, we constantly correspond, communicate, but I didn’t discuss his resignation with him – as I understand it, it was a personal decision,” the undefeated Russian fighter said in an interview with Red Corner MMA. “I did not touch on this point, but it will be interesting to talk with him about this topic. 31-year-old Zabit Magomedsharipov last entered the octagon in November 2019, when he won a unanimous decision against Calvin Kattar at the UFC in Moscow, but officially notified the organization of his retirement only in June of this year.
