The middleweight bout between Kelvin Gastelum and Chris Curtis has been added to the card of the UFC 287 tournament, which will take place on April 8 in Brooklyn.
The organization of the fight was reported by informed sources close to the situation.
Kelvin Gastelum, 31, is on a two-game losing streak, losing unanimous decisions to Robert Whittaker and Jared Cannonier. On January 14, Gastelum was supposed to meet with Nassurdin Imavov, but dropped out of the fight, having been injured in training.
Chris Curtis, 35, got his career back on track in December with a second-round knockout of Joaquin Buckley. Prior to that, Curtis suffered his first UFC loss, losing by unanimous decision to Jack Hermansson.
Kelvin Gastelum and Chris Curtis are currently thirteenth and fourteenth in the UFC middle division rankings, respectively.
