Former world welterweight champion Jeff Horne wants his compatriot Australian George Kambosos (20-1, 10 KOs) to activate the rematch clause for an immediate second fight with current undisputed lightweight champion Devin Haney (28-0, 15 KOs) . In his opinion, George is capable of winning.

Last Sunday, Haney outboxed Kambosos quite easily and took all the titles – WBO, WBC, IBF and WBA.

“I think George should take part in the rematch,” Horne said.
The Herald Sun. “I definitely showed against Zerafa that it’s possible to go back and win the fight back. And I did it after I got knocked out in the first fight.”

“George can certainly beat Haney, but he will have to come up with a different plan for the fight to have any hope of winning. I have no doubt that George will want another chance later this year,” Jeff added.

Haney’s father: “If Devin meets Kambosos 10 times, he will win 10 times”

He says Kambosos should use the same tactics that Horn used to defeat Filipino star Manny Pacquiao.

“George should do what I did with Pacquiao. Push! Kambosos must break his comfortable distance. He stagnated too much in the middle distance, and this allowed Haney to just flick his jab. Haney has a brilliant jab. George did little to turn things around,” Horne said. Yes, it was Haney’s dominant performance. George tried very hard, but without the right strategy it didn’t work.”

George, in general, already knows how to beat Haney on the second try.

But the popular American coach Mayweather is sure that Haney should definitely fight Lomachenko.
