Undisputed lightweight champion Australian George Cambosos Jr. (20-0, 10 KOs) is not going to use the technique of Russian light heavyweight Dmitry Bivol, who, on the eve of the fight with Mexican superstar Saul Canelo Alvarez, decided not to overdo his training in order to avoid the risk of overtraining.

On June 5, Kambosos will have to fight American Devin Haney (27-0, 15 KOs) in Melbourne (Australia). According to the local champion,
he plows like a horse: “We have three workouts every day for 2-3 hours each. Our task is to make sure 110% that everything planned has been completed. We’re going to look under absolutely every stone. We want to be ready for anything. I’m not just ready, I’m at my peak. I always try to become even stronger after each training cycle. The tougher the opponent, the higher the rank of the fight, the more I am involved in the training process, the more confident I will enter the ring.”

“I’m bigger and more powerful,” the Australian recalls. – I have a stronger hit. I’m at my peak. Immediately after the victory over Teofimo Lopez, I returned here and again dug in the hall. What made me even better? In speed and “explosiveness”. We were supposed to have a press conference last week, but it had to be canceled because Haney didn’t show up. This, frankly, angered, because I wanted to look into his eyes one more time. I know that his father will not be able to fly to Australia. But that’s not my problem. I give you a chance. So grab this opportunity and keep quiet.”

“I give you the opportunity to earn millions. Everything else is none of my business. Yes it’s true. I tried to help them sort things out, got someone. Why is that? Because I don’t want to hear excuses. I want to see the best version of Haney in front of me, because I know that I will be in my best shape. I hope he still manages without post-match excuses. Hopefully there won’t be a repeat of what I’ve been through with Lopez. I hope he accepts defeat like a real man, ”Kambosos said.

Earlier, the Australian admitted: “I already know how Haney will justify his defeat.” Meanwhile, the American stares behind the back of the champion: “Lomachenko, Shakur, Davis, Garcia … I’ll knock them all out in turn.”
