Former champion George Kambosos (20-1, 10 KOs) claims that 12 rounds of a lost fight with Devin Haney (28-0, 15 KOs) told him what he needed to tighten up and how to draw up a battle plan to get even with the American offender in the autumn rematch.

Haney came to Australia yesterday and easily outboxed Kambosos. Having done this, he became the undisputed lightweight champion (up to 61.2 kg). George has the right to an immediate rematch, written in the contract for the first fight.

“I know what I need to do to beat him in a rematch,” Kambosos said shortly after the loss. “We had a plan for the fight, but I couldn’t execute it the way I wanted.”

I wonder if the plan was effective, according to George, but nothing came of it, then why should it work the second time?

The Australian hinted that not only he and his coach were to blame for the defeat.

“The referee missed some things that should have been noticed. But what is, is, ”Kambosos spread his hands.

“I will go back to the gym and work on everything. In the meantime, congratulations to Haney and his team on their victory. They came here, like I did with Lopez, and won. But I’ll be back. At the end of November, we will be able to do it again, ”he announced the approximate dates for the revenge.

After leaving the ring, Kambosos “threatened the reporter”, and Haney sent everyone to f*ck. Devin’s father claims that if he meets Kambosos 10 times, he will win 10 times.
