Former interim UFC lightweight champion Justin Gaethje, who defeated Rafael Fiziev at UFC 286 in London, paid tribute to his opponent, along with whom he won the Fight of the Night tournament bonus.
“I am your fan. You are a true warrior, my friend. It was an honor for me to share a cage with you,” the American wrote on the social network, referring to the Azerbaijani.
Recall that the lightweight fight, which became the second most important event of the numbered British event, went the whole distance, following the results of three rounds of which two judges gave the victory to the American with a score of 29-28, and the third one put a draw 28-28.
Earlier, Fiziev, who received significant damage in the fight, shared his reaction to the fight.
