Interim WBO heavyweight champion Joe Joyce (15-0, 14 KOs) wanted to fight WBC belt holder Tyson Fury (32-0-1, 23 KOs) – and challenged him through
Twitter. The British “Gypsy King” good-naturedly replied that for now his priority is a unification fight against Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs), who controls the WBO, IBF and WBA titles.
“Lets go, sign the contract, big boy!!! No. 1 vs. No. 2 for the linear championship !!! ”, Joyce instructed exclamation points.
“I’m not on tour yet, big Joe. First I need to win the absolute in the fight against the middleweight! —
Answered compatriot Tyson. “You should ‘grow’ yourself up to the elite.”
“This is Usyk.” Joyce Marked Target #1
Interestingly, on December 3, Fury is going to fight in a pass with Mahmoud Charr, although, probably, there are still chances for a much more sane version of the fight against Anthony Joshua (24-3, 22 KOs).
Joyce doesn’t want to see the Fury-Charr fight, but he thinks it will be a big one.
