Joshua won’t get Fury fight, I can offer him Joyce and Dubois – promoter

British ex-world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (24-3, 22 KOs) should not count on a duel with compatriot and current WBC title holder Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs) this year.

This was stated by Fury’s promoter, Frank Warren. However, he has other options for Anthony, if he pleases.

“The question is whether Joshua will be in Fury’s plans (for 2023). Personally, I don’t see him in our plans,” Warren admitted. “Tyson already has a few more fights scheduled, plus he’s a little mad at him (Joshua) because of the time we wasted (negotiating a missed fight at the end of last year, approx. vRINGe). However, if Joshua wants to fight Daniel Dubois or Joe Joyce, we’ll arrange it in no time.”

To be fair, the 2023 plan outlined for Joshua by his promoter, Eddie Hearn, Fury was already absent.

Meanwhile, manager Joshua is confident that the fight with Fury will take place – he can prove it.
