WBC world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (32-0-1, 23 KOs) will fight on December 3 not with fellow countryman, ex-champion Anthony Joshua (24-3, 22 KOs), but with Mahmoud Charr (33-4 , 19 K.O.). Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn suspects this.
According to the functionary, Fury’s side is just fooling around and promoting, and no one intends to go against his client there.
“Tyson says, ‘Sign the contract,'” Hearn told iFL TV. – It took 10 days to send the contract, or eight, or nine. All of a sudden they’re like, “We want the contract signed now,” when the contract is on the way. Let’s see. I have a feeling that Fury is preparing for the fight with Charr, and all this is just a show. I hope I’m wrong.”
Usyk spoke about Fury-Joshua fight
According to the promoter, his vision of the situation is such that “Matchroom and Queensberry are doing everything possible to arrange a fight”, but “everything is complicated”.
“DAZN and BT have yet to sort this out,” he added.
And promoter Bob Arum thinks it’s Joshua who doesn’t want to fight Fury.
Be that as it may, Fury was back in touch last night – he habitually cursed Usyk and Joshua. Here’s another, if you have a couple of minutes, read Eddie Hearn’s interview about Usyk’s three fights, Fury-Joshua, PPV numbers and a quarrel with Ellerbee.
At the end of spring, we recall, Charr beat Milachich.
