Frank Warren, promoter of British WBA World Minor Heavyweight Champion Daniel Dubois (18-1, 17 KOs), is confident that his protagonist is ready to take on any top fighter in the division, and the fight with star ex-champion and compatriot Anthony Joshua (24-2, 22 KOs) would be a gift for him.

“I represent Dubois against any opponent,” Warren says. “He’s a big, big puncher. He has a great jab. Like I said before, when I pit Dubois against (Anthony) Joshua, I think Joshua is tailor-made for him. I’m not lying and I really think he’s the perfect match for Dubois.”

In this regard, Frank would prefer Joshua to win the upcoming August 20 rematch against Oleksandr Usyk. Although the reason, according to the functionary, is not only this:

“I want the British to win. It will be great if he succeeds. We’ll all be happy for him.”

Just in case, we recall that Warren is also a promoter for the WBC champion Tyson Fury (32-0-1, 23 KOs), whose fight for the absolute championship with Joshua he dreams of for obvious reasons.

As for Dubois, Frank is going to find him a “worthy opponent” by the end of September or the beginning of October.

Recall that in November 2020, Daniel suffered his first defeat in his career, losing by knockout in the 10th round to another Briton Joe Joyce. After that, Dubois accounted for three early victories, the last of which was on June 12 over Trevor Bryan (KO 4), from whom the WBA World title was taken away.
