Former UFC welterweight title contender Jorge Masvidal, who faces Gilbert Burns at UFC 287 in Miami, nearly got into a street fight on the streets of his hometown.
The incident took place after a demonstration weigh-in ceremony, and judging by the video published by the ubiquitous TMZ resource, the aggressively-minded Masvidal was saved from a direct collision with an opponent who was not in the frame, the cornermen who accompanied him saved him.
Who opposed Masvidal is unknown, but judging by the phrase “see you later, baby” thrown by the fighter, this person is clearly familiar to him. It is possible that it was Kevin Holland, who had quarreled with a former street fighter in the lobby of the hotel two days earlier.
Recall that Holland will fight with Santiago Ponzinibbio as part of the event.
