Jorge Masvidal: “Khamzat Chimaev will not stay in sports for a long time”

Jorge Masvidal:

Former UFC welterweight title challenger Jorge Masvidal doesn’t think Khamzat Chimaev will stay in the sport long enough to become a real MMA star.

“This guy doesn’t even fight,” MMA News quoted the American as saying. “This is a new fighting style that is beyond me. You just go to social networks and carry all sorts of **** about. In every interview, he insists that he is a gangster. Gangsters make weight and fight because you are a man first. All his talk is cheap. This gangster nearly retired with the corona or the flu. Personally, I don’t think he will stay in this sport for long.”

This weekend at UFC 287 in Miami, Jorge Masvidal will return to the octagon after more than a year away in an attempt to return to the Candidates against Gilbert Burns. During his absence, the Chechen fighter managed to fight two fights, defeating Burns by unanimous decision and finishing Kevin Holland by choke in the first round.

According to available information, Borz will hold its next fight in the middleweight category at UFC 294 in Abu Dhabi, and Brazilian Paulo Costa will become his opponent.
