Jon Jones reveals tactics for his fight with Stipe Miocic

Reigning UFC heavyweight titleholder Jon Jones, who will share the octagon with Stipe Miocic in a month’s time, has hinted that he will utilize his wrestling and grappling skills heavily in his bout against the former division champion.

Jones posted a joint training photo with legendary American jitser Gordon Ryan on social media, adding a meaningful commentary to the post.

“Meanwhile, Stipe is preparing for a boxing match,” the UFC champion wrote.

“My friend, Gordon Ryan, fed me a big slice of humble pie for the night,” Jones added. “It was just what I was looking for and at the same time I have mixed emotions. It’s going to be hard for me to sleep tonight. Preparing with a 28-year-old phenom for a fight with a 41-year-old greatest fighter. That’s exactly how it should be.”

As a reminder, the heavyweight title fight between Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic will be the main event of UFC 295, which takes place on November 11 in New York City.
