John McCarthy names Ferguson’s main problem in his fight with Pimblett

Paddy Pimblett’s speed will be the main problem for Tony Ferguson in his upcoming clash with the British prospect, legendary referee John McCarthy is confident.

“Pimblett isn’t very good in the stand-up and he’s not a powerful puncher, but he’s fast,” ‘Big’ John said on another edition of his podcast. “That’s the problem I see in this fight for Tony. Speed is going to be an absolute problem for him in this fight. If Paddy fights smart, cycles out of range and just works for speed with his punches, he has a great chance to win this fight”

On the previous day, UFC chief, Dana White, responding to fan criticism, called it ideal matchmaking to set up a fight between Tony Ferguson and Paddy Pimblett, suggesting that it would be an easier fight for the American, who has lost six fights in a row.

Recall that the lightweight fight will be part of the UFC 296 tournament, which will be held on December 16 in Las Vegas.
