American Jermell Charlo (35-1-1, 19 KOs) knocked out Argentine Brian Castaño (17-1-2, 12 KOs) and became the undisputed division champion. The first fight took place last summer, ended in a controversial draw.
Charlo started the rematch much more confidently. He was in no hurry to give the center of the ring to the aggressor, wielded a jab, did not allow attacks to be prepared, and even tried several times to punch through the body. In the 2nd round, the American countered beautifully and effectively several times in a row. Castaño has so far been remembered most of all for the strength of his beard.
If necessary, Charlo hid in clinches, confused the opponent with constant movements, changed the angles of attacks. And he was also very badly defended by the hull. Nevertheless, Castaño’s pressure began to bear fruit. The fight leveled off. The 4th round ended with a wild exchange. Even steeper kneading in the 5th three-minute.

But he was no longer so effective, although he imposed his fight on his opponent – a power confrontation at close range.
