American Jaron Ennis (30-0, 27 KOs) paid tribute to the Ukrainian Karen Chukhadzhyan (21-2, 11 KOs), with whom he fought last night for the vacant title of the “interim” IBF welterweight world champion (up to 66.7 kg) and won on points.

Jaron thanked Chukhajian for not being afraid to take the fight.

“He ran from me a lot, but I still take my hat off to him because a lot of guys didn’t want to fight me at all. So I can’t help but pay tribute to him that he came here and took the fight, ”the winner praised the Ukrainian.

At the same time, Ennis cannot call the last fight ideal for himself:

“I feel like I could throw more punches. I had to win ahead of schedule, but I did everything I could. What did I learn from the last fight? Because there is no need to rush. I’m glad I got through all 12 rounds. Feeling great, I was in my best shape. It just needed to hit a little more often. Still, I had to endure it until the final gong.
