UFC on ESPN 39 tournament bout
The fight will take place on July 10 in Las Vegas (Nevada, USA) at the UFC Apex complex and will be part of the main card of the UFC on ESPN 39 (or UFC Vegas 58) tournament. Estimated start of the battle – 04:30 Kyiv time. The fight will be broadcast live on Setanta Sports.
In the heavy division, gatekeeper Jared Vanderaa (12-8) and Chase Sherman (15-10) will meet in the octagon.
Vanderaa is close to being fired from the UFC, Jared is on a series of three defeats: a knockout to Alexander Romanov, points to Andrei Orlovsky and a first-round submission to Alexei Oleinik at UFC 273 in April.
Sherman is no better off, Vanilla Gorilla has four losses in his last four fights, putting him 1-7 in his last eight fights in the UFC. Sherman lost by decisions to Andrey Orlovsky and Parker Porter in 2021, and this year he was finished in the first round by submissions by Jake Collier and Alexander Romanov in January and April, respectively.
