On the night of March 6-7, Las Vegas hosts the UFC 259 mixed martial arts tournament. Jan Blachowicz and Israel Adesanya met in the main fight of the evening. It was a light heavyweight title fight. The fight was held in a tense struggle and lasted all five rounds, following which the judges gave the victory to Blachowicz by unanimous decision – 49-46, 49-45, 49-45.
For 31-year-old Adesanya, this is the first defeat in his career. The 38-year-old Pole has 28 wins and 8 losses.
