Jamal Hill promises to knock out Magomed Ankalaev

Reigning UFC light heavyweight champion Jamal Hill, who won the vacant belt two weeks ago against Glover Teixeira, is ready to make his first title defense against second-ranked Magomed Ankalaev.

“He is in a position that allows him to qualify for a title fight,” the American fighter said in an interview with James Lynch. “I’m not going to sit and say, ‘He didn’t deserve this,’ because he’s on top. Once I’m ready to fight, I’ll go up against whoever is available. I would not mind knocking out Ankalaev just on the basis of the simple fact that people keep repeating his name in conversations with me.

The answer of the Russian was not long in coming.

“Be careful what you wish for, plump. I’m going for my belt!” Ankalaev wrote on the social network.

Recall that in December last year, Magomed Ankalaev and Jan Blachowicz failed the organization’s first attempt to play for the vacant UFC light heavyweight championship belt, vacated by the injured Jiri Prochazka, bringing the fight to a draw.
