Jamal Hill promises to knock out Alex Pereira in a standup fight

Former UFC bantamweight champion Jamal Hill, who vacated the title due to an Achilles injury, has no doubts that he can KO Alex Pereira, who finished Jiri Prohazka by second-round TKO to win the vacant belt last weekend at UFC 295 in New York City.

“Mark my words – I’m not going to move him down, and I’m not going to fight him,” the American said in another video posted on his Youtube channel. “And despite the fact that you all think he’s an incredible puncher just because he’s been kickboxing and I haven’t, I’m going to fight him in the stand-up and knock him out.”

“After I do that, I will throw this in the face of every one of you who disrespected me. I’m the best in my weight class, and one of the best fighters in the world. That’s why I call myself the king.”

Hill isn’t worried that his showdown with Pereira could be interfered with by Israel Adesanya, whom the Brazilian has challenged.

“To all those who are worried that Izzy might beat me, I want to let you know that Izzy has already written to me. The same night it happened, he sent me three words: ‘He’s all yours.’ Yes, that’s right – he’s all mine. There’s no one else, no one else to intervene. I’m the only one he has to worry about, or not worry about, if that’s what he wants.”
