Reigning UFC light heavyweight champion Jamal Hill, who has exchanged pleasantries with Alex Pereira, doesn’t think the Brazilian will be able to retain the UFC middleweight title in a rematch with Israel Adesanya.
“No, I don’t see Pereira beating Adesanya,” the American fighter told The Schmo. “If Izzy just throws out his hands, box with him, he will outbid him at speed and win”
“Alex definitely needs to focus on the rematch with Izzy and not think about the fight with me, because last time he got his ass kicked for most of the fight”
Last November at UFC 281 in New York, Alex Pereira took the UFC Middleweight Championship from Israel Adesanya with a fifth-round TKO finish to the Nigerian, with an immediate middleweight rematch on April 8 headlining UFC 287 in Miami.
