Jamal Hill is outraged by Dricus Du Plessis’ position in the UFC’s P4P rankings

Former UFC bantamweight champion, Jamal Hill, doesn’t understand how South African Dricus Du Plessis could be ranked as the eighth best fighter in the organization regardless of weight class with his controversial win over Sean Strickland.

“It’s crazy how a year ago I won the title with a record-breaking performance and complete dominance, but only ranked fourteenth in the UFC’s P4P rankings, never rising above the twelfth spot,” the American wrote on social media. “But everyone else winning a title immediately puts them in the top 8. Even if it’s a split decision, which most would consider a defeat.”

The former UFC champion also mentioned famously unlucky rapper Drake, who bet seven hundred thousand dollars on Strickland’s victory.

“I counted 3-2 in Strickland’s favor. Damn that Drake!”

Recall that the middleweight title fight, which headlined the UFC 297 event in Toronto last weekend, went the full distance and ended in a split decision defeat for the American.
