Jaelyn Turner will replace Dan Hooker in the fight with Bobby Green

The UFC’s No. 12 ranked lightweight, Jalin Turner, has agreed on one week’s notice to replace the injured Dan Hooker and face Bobby Green at UFC on ESPN 52 in Austin.

In doing so, the bout, billed as the event’s second major event, is changing the format from a five-round bout to a three-round bout. The change was officially announced by UFC head Dana White.

In October of this year, 37-year-old Bobby Green knocked out Grant Dawson in the main event of UFC Fight Night 229 at 33 seconds, and two months before that, the American fighter put his career back on track by finishing his compatriot Tony Ferguson with an arm-triangle choke in the third round.

In contrast, 28-year-old Jalin Turner is riding a two-fight losing streak, having lost by split decisions to Mateusz Gamrot and Dan Hooker.

As a reminder, the main event of UFC on ESPN 52, which will take place on December 2, will be a lightweight fight between American Benil Dariush and Russian Arman Tsarukyan.
