Jack Hermansson and Joe Pifer will headline the UFC tournament

A middleweight fight between Jack Hermansson and Joe Pifer will headline the UFC’s UFC Tournament, which takes place Feb. 10 in Las Vegas.

The organization of the fight was officially announced by the head of the UFC, Dana White.

35-year-old Jack Hermansson has been steadily alternating wins and losses for the past four years, and this time he returns to the octagon after a disappointing performance, losing by technical knockout in the second round to Roman Dolidze. Prior to that, the Swedish fighter once again put his career back on track by defeating Chris Curtis by unanimous decision.

American Joe Pifer, 27, who made his way to the UFC last year via qualifier on Dana White’s Contender Series show, has managed three early wins in the organization, finishing Abdul Razak Alhassan with an arm-triangle choke in his most recent bout.

Jack Hermansson is currently ranked tenth in the organization’s middleweight rankings, while Joe Peifer is not yet a top-15 fighter in the division.
