Despite a high number of missed shots and horrendous external injuries, Glover Teixeira escaped serious injury in the title fight against Jamal Hill.
After the UFC 283 tournament, held in Rio de Janeiro, the 43-year-old Brazilian veteran was taken to a local hospital, where he underwent a full medical examination, the results of which were described by his manager Jorge Guimaraes.
“Besides the cuts, he has a minor nose injury and will check it again when he gets home to Connecticut – otherwise he feels great,” the MMA Fighting manager was quoted as saying.
Guimaraes also posted on the social network a photo of his ward from the hospital ward.
Recall that the light heavyweight fight, which led the Brazilian numbered event, went the whole distance and ended with the victory of the American by unanimous decision, and Glover Teixeira announced his retirement after the fight.
