On July 9, a boxing evening was held in London (England), the main event of which was a rematch for the status of an official WBA contender in the first middleweight (up to 69.9 kg) between Israil Madrimov (8-0-1, 6 KOs) from Uzbekistan and Frenchman Michel Soro (35-3-2, 24 KOs).
The boxers could not determine the winner: the fight was terminated in the third round after the clash of the boxers’ heads and a severe cut from Soro. Declared a technical draw.
