MMA fighter Magomed Ismailov explained why he did not agree to an immediate third fight with the reigning AMC Fight Nights champion Vladimir Mineev.
“I said that I can surprise. Then I changed my mind about doing it,” Ismailov told SE. – I will put aside any confrontation when it comes to Shlemenko. In general, I think that people probably got a little fed up with us – our conflicts, relationships, fights and so on. It happens that a frequent visitor gets bored. A rare guest – you meet him differently. Here is the same situation. We need to do some work outside of each other. He’s on his way, and I’m on mine. And when we see that for the public this will become a super-relevant confrontation again, that is, as a rare guest who is expected, then we will sit down to discuss the financial side and everything else.
Ismailov will meet with Alexander Shlemenko in June-July at one of the RCC league tournaments in Yekaterinburg. The winner of this pair will meet with Vladimir Mineev.
In October, at the AMC Fight Nights 105 tournament in Sochi, Ismailov was defeated by Mineev by TKO in the third round.
