An unidentified fan is threatening to disrupt two fights on the main card of UFC 284, including the main event of the Australian event, a lightweight title fight between Islam Makhachev and Alexander Volkanovski.
The corresponding threat was posted on one of the social networks from an anonymous account. According to the attacker, he is going to blind the Russian with a laser pointer. Before disrupting the main fight, anonymous plans to test his method on the representative of Jamaica Randy Brown, who will meet on the main card of the tournament with Australian welterweight Jack Della Maddalena.
“Last warning,” reads the message. “This laser pointer in a diabetic needle will blind Makhachev, as a result of which he will be finished or the fight will be declared a no-contest. Pay attention to the green dot tomorrow. You will see how it will be tested in the Randy Brown fight and then in the main event.”
Recall that in the upcoming fight, Islam Makhachev will defend the UFC lightweight championship belt, and Alexander Volkanovski, who owns the UFC featherweight title, will risk the title of the best fighter of the organization, regardless of weight.
