Islam Makhachev demanded from the UFC to name the opponent and the place of the fight

UFC president Dana White has shied away from answering directly about Islam Makhachev’s next fight, and the reigning UFC lightweight champion isn’t thrilled that he still hasn’t been confirmed with an opponent or venue for his next title defense.

“Dana White, who? Location? ”, – the Russian fighter wrote on the social network, turning to the head of the organization.

Also, Makhachev did not disregard the statement of Charles Oliveira, who announced the day before that he was not ready to fight him in October.

“Charles Oliveira, you owe me so much my friend,” the Russian added, quoting a fan who said that Makhachev motivated the Brazilian to learn English.

According to the UFC plan, Islam Makhachev should return to the octagon on October 21 at UFC 294 in Abu Dhabi and meet the winner of the contender fight between Charles Oliveira and Benil Dariush, in which the Brazilian fighter won an early victory.

In addition, potential candidates for a fight with the Russian are the current UFC featherweight champion, Alexander Volkanovski, who unified the titles in the confrontation with Yair Rodriguez the day before, as well as the winner of the fight between Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje, who on July 29 at UFC 291 in Salt Lake City will play for the vacant BMF title.
