Already this Saturday T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas (USA) will host the third fight of antagonists Saul Alvarez (57-2-2, 39 KOs) from Mexico and Gennady Golovkin (42-1-1, 37 KOs) from Kazakhstan – they will fight for the title of absolute super middleweight champion.

Their rivalry began in 2017 with a controversial draw, and exactly 12 months later, Alvarez won minimally. Those two fights went down in the division.

Fans, experts and bookies consider Canelo the favorite, because Golovkin has already exchanged his fifth decade and has never boxed at 76.2 kg before.

And Alvarez himself
surethat the opponent will be the same: “In the previous fight, he did everything clearly. It’s the same fighter. He is very strong: he easily endures missed blows, hits well. I’m telling you, it’s still the same fighter. In the fight with Ryota Murata, Golovkin may have missed a little more. But, I suppose, this is just for the reason that the blows of the opponent did not impress him. I think so”.

Canelo dreams of “winning by knockout, but I will be extremely focused. If the deadline comes – OK. If not, then I will be ready to box all 12 rounds. Since 2018, I have not run cross-country. Stopped running due to a knee injury that I had on the eve of the rematch. You remember, back in April I had an operation. And in this camp, I returned to running again. So I feel even better. I’m comfortable at super middleweight. How will Golovkin feel in it? I do not know this. But let me remind you that when I moved to middleweight, I immediately took the fight with the best of the best – with him. So I didn’t have any problems with that.”

According to Canelo, “The rivalry with Golovkin has a solid history. Will it end this Saturday or will there be a fourth fight? We’ll find out soon…”

Yesterday, the fighters solemnly arrived in Las Vegas: photos and videos. Show promoter Eddie Hearn believes Alvarez vs. Golovkin 3 will end in a knockout.
