Former world middleweight champion (up to 76.2 kg), and now a light heavyweight fighter (up to 79.4 kg), Mexican Gilberto Ramirez (44-1, 30 KOs) gave
flash interview for the American boxing blog.
Ramirez spoke about his defeat in last year’s fight with WBA “super champion” Russian Dmitry Bivol (21-0, 11 KOs). When asked about the desired fights, Gilberto announced his desire to have a rematch with Bivol or enter the ring against the unified champion from Canada Artur Beterbiev (19-0, 19 KOs). Recall that the Mexican ex-champion is scheduled to fight on March 18 against the American Gabriel Rosado (26-16-1, 15 KOs).
– You have a fight with Gabe Rosado ahead of you.
“It will be a spectacular fight. Gabe always sets tough fights. He is a warrior. I respect him very much. I know him, we used to spar. It will be a great fight.

“It was great to share the ring with him because, of course, he is a great champion, but I want to prove that I am the best in the division. I will be world champion again. I want to say that I’m excited because I want to prove who I am.
