26-year-old Kharkiv player Fedor Cherkashin (21-0, 13 KOs) from Kharkiv, who plays for Poland, commented on his most significant victory at the moment in profiring over Jamaican native Nathaniel Gallimore (22-6-1, 17 KOs), whom he outboxed by unanimous decision the day before in the US.

“I felt like he was under my control during the fight,” says Fedor. – He was very fast and tried to catch me with a powerful punch, and I wanted to feel the distance. That’s my style of throwing fast punches, interspersed with strong ones.”

“I’m ready for the big stage,” Cherkashin, who performs in the first middleweight (up to 69.9 kg), is sure. – Let me (fully) prepare for the fight for the world title, because before this fight I had only three weeks (to prepare). But this was my chance, my step forward. I’ll be back”.
