Today it was officially confirmed that on August 20, as part of the Usyk-Joshua 2 boxing evening in Saudi Arabia, Croatian heavyweight Filip Hrgovic (14-0, 12 KOs) will fight against Chinese Zhang Zhilei (24-0-1, 19 KOs), the winner of which will become the official contender for the IBF title, which currently belongs to Oleksandr Usyk.
On this occasion, Hrgovic told what awaits his opponent, not forgetting about the main goal.
“I respect a fighter like Zhang Zhilei, especially since many others who could have entered the ring with me refused to do so,” said Philip. “But all respect will remain behind the ropes as soon as the starting gong sounds. As always, this will be a regular thing for me, I will go out and try to do what I do best – endure people. When Zhang is finished, there will be no doubt about it, and I will go to beat Mustache or Joshua.”
