As we reported earlier, on November 12, the WBO middleweight champion (up to 72.6 kg) Zhanibek “Kazakh Style” Alimkhanuly (12-0, 8 KOs) will defend his title for the first time – Briton Denzel Bentley (17- 1-1, 14 KOs).
Today it was officially announced that the fight will take place at the Palms Casino in Las Vegas (USA) as the main event of the Top Rank boxing evening.
On this occasion, the organizers issued a press release with pre-match statements from the boxers.
“I give Denzel Bentley credit for accepting the challenge when so many fighters ran away from me,” says Zhanibek. “It is a great honor to defend my world title in Las Vegas and I will once again show the world what “Kazakh Style” is.”
“It will be a good and spectacular fight and I think I can win it,” Bentley said. “So why not go there, enjoy the Las Vegas theater and come back with a world title?” I sincerely believe that he can be defeated, and that I can do it. Everyone says how scary he is, but personally I don’t see anything like that. Perhaps I’m missing something. We’ll find out when we’re in the same ring.”
