Ian Machado Garry named potential opponents

After Colby Covington emphatically stated that he will not fight Ian Machado Garry, the undefeated Irishman agrees to face anyone willing to share the octagon with him on June 29 at UFC 303 in Las Vegas.

“Colby got away with it and he wasn’t the only one who did it – they all make excuses,” the Irishman told talkSPORT. “I’m in a position where everyone above me is injured and Leon Edwards and Belal Muhammad are fighting each other. I’m not interested in fighting anyone below me, but I have no other choice because I want to be active. I will come out against anyone who is willing to share the octagon with me on June 29”

“I was offered a fight with Michael Page and I said ‘yes’, but now he and his trainers are making a decision because they have doubts about him making weight in seven weeks. They offered me Colby, I said ‘yes.’ They offered me MVP, I said ‘yes.’ They offered me Shawn Brady, I said ‘yes.’ They were offering me the Uzbek guy Ruziboyev if he won, I said ‘yes’. And I said ‘yes’ to Joaquin Buckley.”

Undefeated Ian Machado Garry picked up his seventh UFC victory in February with a split decision win over Jeff Neal at UFC 298 in Anaheim, and the 26-year-old Irishman is currently ranked seventh in the organization’s welterweight division.
