30-year-old Cuban heavyweight Lennier Pero (9-0, 6 KOs) admitted that he purposefully concentrated his efforts on processing the body of Ukrainian Viktor Vykhryst (11-1, 7 KOs) in the last fight, which took place on February 12 in San Antonio (USA) and ended with an early victory for Pero in the 8th round, after Victor refused to continue the resistance.
Note that according to statistics, Lennier delivered 51 accurate blows to the torso of a Ukrainian.
“Starting from the first round, I hunted for his liver, tried to bludgeon him in the body,” the Cuban revealed the plan. “His punches weren’t very sensitive, so I kept working and ended up hitting this decisive punch.”
“Now I look at England,” said Lennier. “We’ll see if the Britons want to come to the States with me. I will welcome them with open arms. If anything, I’m talking about Tyson Fury, Dubois. Give them to me!”
