The IBF revised their decision in favor of colleagues from the WBA – Briton Daniel Dubois (19-1, 18 KOs) was recognized as the next mandatory contender for the fight with the unified heavyweight champion Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs). Croat Filip Hrgovic (15-0, 12 KOs) will have to wait a little longer.

Approximately immediately after this, rumors appeared on the sidelines that Philip was not going to sit idle. Allegedly, he is among the candidates for the fight with the former unified division champion Briton Anthony Joshua (24-3, 22 KOs) – he will return to the ring on April 1.

Kalle Sauerland was directly asked about this (Wasserman Boxing), Hrgovic’s promoter. But there was no answer – he did not confirm the information, but did not deny either.

Apparently the Sauerland is still
configured “push” the decision in favor of his client in the IBF: “I do not want to comment on this whole situation with the IBF decision just yet. After all, some processes are now taking place behind the scenes. Everything will become clear in the coming days. For now, no comments about Hrgovic.”

At the boss wasserman was asked if he plans to disrupt the fight for the title of absolute world champion between Usyk and WBC belt holder Briton Tyson Fury. Sauerland’s response: “Understand that it’s not about trying to disrupt the fight for the absolute. The point is to finally clarify Hrgovic’s position. He cannot lose the title of mandatory challenger, as he boxed in the final eliminator. This is the point we want to make clear.”

Meanwhile, Usyk began promoting the fight with Fury. He got naked, took a selfie and calls the Briton: “Where are you, Mamon?” Yesterday, Alexander continued the series “Belly” – there is a video.
