The desire to learn something new and explore the unknown is not always beneficial and good. So, it was the improvement of boxing skills that caused the career fall of the British ex-world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (24-3, 22 KOs), who turned from a dangerous “beast” into just a “boxer”.
This opinion was expressed by the Croatian heavyweight Filip Hrgovic (15-0, 12 KOs), whose words are quoted by
Philip assured him that he would not allow such a mistake.
“I’m careful not to learn too much and end up becoming someone I’m not, squandering my advantage,” says Hrgovic. “I think that’s what happened to Anthony Joshua. He was a beast. He was a real puncher and then he started learning too much about boxing, he started boxing too much and thinking too much.”
Recall that Joshua has suffered three defeats in his last five fights, including losing both fights in 2021-22. Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk.
Anthony’s return is scheduled for April 1 in London (England), but the opponent has not yet been announced. For this fight, the Briton will be preparing in the US under the guidance of a new coach. Officially, the boxer does not yet say with whom he decided to start cooperation, but insiders have already sniffed everything out.
