Holloway named the winner in the Volkanovski vs. Topuria fight

The title fight between Alexander Volkanovski and Elijah Topuria, who are set to share the octagon in less than 24 hours, won’t go the full distance, former UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway is confident.

“There’s a reason why they didn’t give me Elijah – they wanted him to make it to this fight,” Holloway said at a press conference in Anaheim. “The issue is Wolf. He hears the chatter about his last fight, that he was knocked out, that he’s gotten older, and that motivates him – you’ll see it all for yourself tomorrow. I think he’ll finish Elijah before the five rounds are up.”

As a reminder, a featherweight title fight between Alexander Volkanovski and Elijah Topuria will headline UFC 298 in Anaheim, while Max Holloway made a foray into the lightweight division on April 13 and will attempt to take the BMF title from Justin Gaethje at UFC 300 in Las Vegas.
