Holloway gave his prediction for the fight between Volkanovski and Topuria

Former UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway shared his opinion on the upcoming title fight between Alexander Volkanovski and Elijah Topuria headlining UFC 298 in Anaheim on Feb. 17.

“Alex is Alex, and if you’re into betting, it’s hard to bet against a guy like him,” MMAnews quoted Holloway as saying. “At the end of the day, his coaches are pretty smart and I don’t think they’re setting Alex up for defeat – they’re setting him up for success. I think he’ll be fine and the fight will turn out well for him.”

“I know Topuria is a killer, and a killer in every sense, and he’s a young guy, but we’ll see how it goes. I hate making predictions – if I had to bet, I’d have a hard time betting against Alex, but I understand why people are betting on Topuria.”

As a reminder, Max Holloway will make a foray into the lightweight division on April 13 at UFC 300 in Las Vegas and attempt to take the so-called BMF title from Justin Gaethje.
