Two months ago, the absolute champion of the first middleweight (up to 69.9 kg) American Jermell Charlo (35-1-1, 19 KOs) spoke sharply about the prospects of compatriot and conqueror of three divisions Terence Crawford (38-0, 29 KOs) in his division.

Recall that at the moment Crawford performs in 66.7 kg, where he owns the WBO title. Terence’s coach is sure that his ward will be much more difficult to cope with Errol Spence, and not with Charlo.

This is what pissed off Jermell, who erupted in a whole post on the social network:

“I knocked out much tougher fighters. Who did he actually beat? Let’s compare. Who did he even fight with? At 69.9 kg, even Erickson Lubin. Terence, come up here, you’ll see for yourself.”

Crawford thinks it’s all about envy.

“Jermell Charlo needs to understand that yes, he is the undisputed champion, he did what he did, but he is not at my level. And not at the level of Errol Spence. I think this is what drives him crazy and overwhelms with envy, ”Terence gave the diagnosis.

However, one of the world champions believes that Crawford will not be able to beat Charlo at 69.9 kg.

In 10 days, Crawford will hold another title defense – his opponent will be David Avanesyan.

Charlo has a fight scheduled for January 28 (not yet officially) against Tim Tszyu.
