Henry Sejudo gave his prediction for the Volkanovski and Topuria fight

If Alexander Volkanovski is expecting an easy ride from his upcoming fight against Elijah Topuria, he risks being without the UFC featherweight championship belt and losing his spot in the organization’s top three fighters, former UFC double champion Henry Cejudo believes.

“I would say there’s a reason why I’m willing to bet the house on a guy like Elijah Topuria,” “Triple Champion” said in a video posted on his Youtube channel. “If he can kick effectively and offer Alex some Georgian wrestling, I see Elijah not only winning but dominating this fight.”

“Alex often puts himself in dangerous positions. I’m talking about the guillotine in the fight against Brian Ortega, as well as the fight against Islam Makhachev when he gave his back and couldn’t get out. The guy is willing to play with fire, and eventually there will come a point where he gets burned. When Volkanovski loses, it will be an early defeat.”

The rumored featherweight title fight between Alex Volkanovski and Elijah Topuria will headline UFC 297 on Jan. 20 in Toronto, and Henry Cejudo could face Merab Dvalishvili in the Canadian numbered event.
