Henry Cejudo responded to Daniel Cormier’s criticism of him

Former UFC double champion, Henry Cejudo, did not dismiss Daniel Cormier’s statement siding with Tom Aspinall in his conflict with “Triple Crown Champion” by comparing the American’s Olympic gold medal to the British heavyweight’s interim championship belt.

“So, DC, you went after your Olympic teammate,” the “Triple Champion” said in a video posted on social media. “You went up against the greatest martial arts representative of all time. But you know what, D.C.? I love it.”

“Do you think if I won an Olympic silver medal, I would run around crying with happiness? Do you think I’d want to raise the American flag representing all of us? A time belt just means you’re the number one contender.”

“To all you soft-hearted sissies, including Tom, I want to say it again – it was too much. So save your tears. Save your tears for when you can beat a guy like Jon Jones. Really beat the greatest fighter of all time and say you’re the real champion. I want to congratulate Tom at the same time, but again, the interim belt means nothing”

A few days earlier, Sejudo criticized Aspinall for being too emotional after his win over Sergey Pavlovich, telling him to save his tears until he wins the current title rather than the interim one, and the Briton responded by calling the American a “little brat” whose opinion means nothing to him.
