Henry Cejudo explains why he turned down Marlon Vera fight

Former dual UFC champion Henry Cejudo, who pulled out of the fight against Marlon Vera due to an injury, has explained why he is not going to fight the Ecuadorian fighter after his recovery.

“I never signed a contract for a fight – this is something people don’t know,” MMAmania quotes the American. “I didn’t sign a UFC contract. I didn’t put my signature. The UFC knew everything in advance, so the contract was not signed. Because if I had signed it, I would have fought a hundred percent.

After reporting a shoulder injury, the “Triple Champion” said that after recovering, which will take from six to eight weeks, he expects to face the first number of the bantamweight division Merab Dvalishivili, or with the current UFC flyweight champion Brandon Moreno.

Recall that the fight between Henry Cejudo and Marlon Vera was supposed to take place on August 19 at UFC 292 in Boston. At the moment, it is not known whether “Chito” will remain on the card of the event, or will leave it after the injured opponent.
