While 2022 has produced rising stars, incredible fights, and exciting finishes, it has also provided a shining light on the holes in judging in the sport of mixed martial arts. It is still a big question: How can we improve this?

On an all-new edition of Heck of a Morning, MMA Fighting’s Mike Heck gives his thoughts on what it could take to improve judging, or at least get more competent people sitting in those very important seats during fight nights. Additionally, listener questions include UFC Vegas 66, Arman Tsarukyan’s ceiling at 155, the UFC’s lightweight division as a whole and who could emerge as the next new face, Paddy Pimblett’s next opponent, Glover Teixeira vs. Jamahal Hill, and much more.

You can listen live to Heck of a Morning Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at 10 a.m. ET at the MMA Fighting Twitter Spaces.

If you miss it live, audio-only versions of the podcast can be found below, on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify, iHeartRadio, Stitcher, and wherever you find your favorite podcasts.
